Abstract

In this study, it has been investigated experimentally that effects of silica fume on properties of concretes to get from waste concrete aggregate. It is because that the waste concrete aggregate hasn’t got proper grading curve, it was mixed with Isparta-Atabey aggregate to supply suitable grading. The silica fume were added to concrete with the ratios 6, 8, 10, 12 and 14 % by weight of cement weight. In the experimental study, experiments of sieve analysis, grain density and water absorption, unit weight of fresh concrete, fresh concrete consistance, ultrasonic pulse velocity and compressive strenght were done. The silica fume was decreased the values of compressive strenght. A super plasticizer and high-range water reducing chemical admixture was used in the mixture.
