Abstract

The research was conducted to determine the relationships between seed yield and other important yield traits using regression analysis in 5 years period and in two locations in Trakya Region which had the largest sunflower (Helianthus annuus L.) production areas in Turkey. The differences on yield relationships were detected between two locations based on regression and correlation analysis. Earlier hybrids generally had higher seed while oil content were increasing and seed yields were increased in both locations, but this augmentation was limited up to 48%. Similarly, the yield relationship with 1000 seed weight demonstrated quadratic way when the increases were up to 50-55 g then reduction was started after this point. In the plant height which had highest R² in the experiment and in the head diameter, both relationships exhibited linear way but these increases were finished after 165 cm at plant height and 20 cm at head diameter. The disharmony between locations was detected on husk rate relationship in the research.
