The Synthesis and Characteristics of Alkanolamides The alkanolamides are one of members of surface active agents. Because they are highly basic (pH= 9), they can not be employed as detergents. When the alkanolamides and detergents were mixed, the washing and the foaming characteristics improved. In this article, we reviewed the synthesis and characteristics of alkanolamides.
